Judith C. Ensor has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Baltimore County Circuit Court, 3rd Judicial Circuit, since November 28, 2005. She has held various significant roles, including Vice-Chair of the Judicial Ethics Committee from 2020 to 2021 and Co-Chair of the Circuit Court Forms Work Group of the Court Operations Committee from 2022. Born in St. Lawrence University, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude (Phi Beta Kappa), in 1983, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1988. She has been admitted to the Maryland Bar since 1988 and has held various roles in private practice and public service, including serving as a law clerk to Judge Frederic N. Smalkin, U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, from 1988 to 1989.
Judge Ensor has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as President of the Board of Trustees of St. Paul’s School for Girls since 2011 and as Vice-President of the Board of Trustees of Samuel Ready Scholarships, Inc.. Her extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make her a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary. Judge Ensor’s commitment to justice and her diverse legal background highlight her as a distinguished member of the Baltimore County Circuit Court.
