Hon. William W. Davis, Jr., Esq. has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Cecil County Circuit Court, 2nd Judicial Circuit, since September 9, 2016. Born in Hagerstown, Maryland, he attended St. James School and later earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Morehouse College in 1997. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law in 2003. He has been admitted to the Maryland Bar, Pennsylvania Bar, and District of Columbia Bar. Before his appointment to the bench, Judge Davis worked as a Panel Attorney for the Office of Public Defender from 2003 to 2016 and as a Solo Practitioner at The William Davis Law Firm, P.C..

Judge Davis has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as 1st Vice-President of the Cecil County Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) from 2009 to 2011 and as a Board Member of Youth Empowerment Source, Inc. since 2014. His extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make him a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary. Judge Davis’s commitment to justice and his diverse legal background highlight him as a distinguished member of the Cecil County Circuit Court.
