Hon. William R. Greer, Jr.

Hon. William R. Greer, Jr. has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Charles County Circuit Court, 7th Judicial Circuit, since January 6, 2017. Born in Washington, DC, in 1965, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in European History from Washington and Lee University in 1987 and his Juris Doctor from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary in 1991. He has held various roles in private practice and public service, including serving as an Examiner in Chancery and Special Master for the Charles County Circuit Court, and as a Chair of the Trial Courts Judicial Nominating Commission for the 15th Commission District.Judge Greer has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as a Member of the Board of Library Trustees for Charles County, the Grants Commission, and the Board of Directors for the Charles County Chapter of the American Red Cross. His extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make him a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary.
