Hon. Wendy S. Epstein has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Baltimore County Circuit Court, 3rd Judicial Circuit, since August 31, 2021. Before her judicial appointment, she served as a Family and Juvenile Magistrate for the Circuit Court, Baltimore County, from 2014 to 2021, where she presided over the family recovery support program. She was also an Assistant Public Defender in Baltimore County from 1989 to 1992. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she attended Pikesville High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) in 1986 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1989. She has been admitted to the Maryland Bar since 1989.
Judge Epstein has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as a Member of the Domestic Law Committee of the Judicial Council since 2021. She has also been a Member of the Attorney Grievance Commission, Peer Review Panel (formerly Inquiry Panel) from 1997 to 2014 and a Pre-Hearing Contempt Facilitator for the Circuit Court, Baltimore County, from 2008 to 2013. Her extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make her a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary. Judge Epstein’s commitment to justice and her diverse legal background highlight her as a distinguished member of the Baltimore County Circuit Court.
