Hon. Stacy A. Mayer has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Baltimore County Circuit Court, 3rd Judicial Circuit, since February 1, 2021. Before her judicial appointment, she served as an Associate Judge at the District Court of Maryland, District 8, Baltimore County, from August 5, 2013, to February 1, 2021. Born in Silver Spring, Maryland, in 1972, Judge Mayer attended the McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Maryland. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and French from the University of Richmond in 1994 and her Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1997. She has been admitted to the Maryland Bar since 1997 and has held various roles in private practice and public service, including serving as Chief Legislative Officer in the Office of the Governor from 2012 to 2013.

Judge Mayer has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as Chair of the Legislative Committee of the Judicial Council from 2020 to 2021 and as a Member of the Executive Committee, 3rd Judicial Circuit, Conference of Circuit Judges, since 2022. She has also been a Member of the Work Group to Study Judicial Selection from 2022 to 2024. Her extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make her a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary. Judge Mayer’s commitment to justice and her diverse legal background highlight her as a distinguished member of the Baltimore County Circuit Court.
