Hon. ShaRon M. Kelsey, Esq.

Hon. ShaRon M. Kelsey, Esq. has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Prince George’s County Circuit Court, 7th Judicial Circuit, since January 4, 2019. She earned her Associate degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations from Montgomery College in 1986, her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Banking and Financial Management from the University of Maryland University College in 1988, and her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 1992. Judge Kelsey was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1993, the District of Columbia Bar in 1993, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland in 1995, and the U.S. Supreme Court in 2000. Before her judicial appointment, she worked as an Associate at Koonz, McKenny, Johnson & Regan from 1993 to 1996, and later established her own law firms, ShaRon M. Kelsey, LLC, Kelsey & DeBerry LLP, and The Kelsey Law Firm.

Judge Kelsey has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as a Member of the Peer Review Committee, Attorney Grievance Commission from 2004 to 2018, and the Trial Courts Judicial Nominating Committee, 7th Judicial Circuit from 2007 to 2015. She has also served as a Hearing Examiner for the Board of Education, Prince George’s County, from 2016 to 2018, and as a Member of the Board of License Commissioners, Prince George’s County, in 2018. Her extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make her a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary.
