Hon. Scott L. Rolle has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Frederick County Circuit Court, 6th Judicial Circuit, since December 15, 2014. He previously served as the State’s Attorney for Frederick County from December 1994 to January 2, 2007. Born in Washington, DC, in 1961, Judge Rolle attended Georgetown Preparatory School in North Bethesda, Maryland, and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Dayton in 1984 and his Juris Doctor from the Claude W. Pettit College of Law at Ohio Northern University in 1986. He has held various roles in private practice and public service, including serving as an Assistant State’s Attorney and Chief Narcotics Prosecutor for Frederick County, and as a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve.

Judge Rolle has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as a Member of the State Prosecutor Selection and Disabilities Commission from 1999 to 2007 and as a Member of the Governor-elect’s Transition Team in 2002-03. His extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make him a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary. Judge Rolle’s commitment to justice and his diverse legal background highlight him as a distinguished member of the Frederick County Circuit Court.
