Hon. Robert K. Taylor, Jr. has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Baltimore City Circuit Court, 8th Judicial Circuit, since July 3, 2018. Before his judicial appointment, he was an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Attorney General from 2005 to 2018, where he served as Senior Counsel for Forensic Litigation from 2015 to 2018. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1966, Judge Taylor earned his Bachelor’s degree in English from Towson University in 1988 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1994. He has been admitted to the Maryland Bar since 1994 and has been a member of various bar associations, including the Maryland State Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association, and the Baltimore City Bar Association.Judge Taylor has also been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving on the Board of Directors of Project PLASE (People Lacking Adequate Shelter & Employment) from 1993 to 1994 and as an Adult Literacy Tutor at the South Baltimore Learning Center from 2007 to 2008. His extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make him a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary. Judge Taylor’s commitment to justice and his diverse legal background highlight him as a distinguished member of the Baltimore City Circuit Court.
