Hon. Robert E. Cahill, Jr. has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Baltimore County Circuit Court, 3rd Judicial Circuit, since November 1, 2005. Before his appointment to the Circuit Court, he served as an Associate Judge at the District Court of Maryland, District 8, Baltimore County, from August 24, 2000, to October 31, 2005. Born in Towson, Maryland, he attended Loyola High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English, magna cum laude, from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1979, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1982. He has been admitted to the Maryland Bar since 1982.
Judge Cahill has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as Vice-Chair of the Inquiry Committee for the Attorney Grievance Commission from 1995 to 2000 and as a Member of the Criminal Law and Procedure Committee of the Maryland Judicial Conference from 2005 to 2014. His extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make him a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary. Judge Cahill’s commitment to justice and his diverse legal background highlight him as a distinguished member of the Baltimore County Circuit Court.
