Hon. Martin H. Schreiber II has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Baltimore City Circuit Court, 8th Judicial Circuit, since May 23, 2022. Before his judicial appointment, he was a member of the Criminal Justice Act Felony Panel at the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland from 1999 to 2023. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1965, Judge Schreiber attended Gilman School in Baltimore and LycĂ©e Jean Perrin in Paris, where he earned his BaccalaurĂ©at A with mention assez bien in 1983. He then attended Columbia University, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Economics, cum laude, in 1987, and the University of Maryland School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor with honors in 1992. He has been admitted to the Maryland Bar since 1993 and the District of Columbia Bar since 1995.

Judge Schreiber has also been actively involved in various legal and community organizations, including serving as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland School of Law from 2001 to 2007 and on the board of directors of the University of Maryland School of Law Alumni Association from 2000 to 2007. His extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make him a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary.
