Hon. Kendra Y. Ausby is an associate judge for the Baltimore City Circuit Court in Maryland. Appointed on February 17, 2010, she has been actively involved in family court matters. Judge Ausby has served as the Judge-in-Charge of the Baltimore City Family Division, where she has presided over numerous cases involving custody, divorce, child support, and other family law issues. Her dedication to family court is evident through her long-standing commitment to ensuring fair and just outcomes for families in need.
Before her judicial appointment, Judge Ausby worked as an Assistant Public Defender from 1993 to 2001 and as an Assistant Attorney General in the Department of Juvenile Services from 2001 to 2008. She has also held the position of Principal Counsel in the Courts and Judicial Affairs Division of the Office of the Attorney General from 2001 to 2010. Judge Ausby earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law. She is a member of several bar associations and has been recognized for her contributions to the legal profession, including receiving the Maryland Leadership in Law Award from the Daily Record in 2018.
