Hon. Dana M. Middleton has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Baltimore City Circuit Court, 8th Judicial Circuit, since September 19, 2017. Before her judicial appointment, she was an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Criminal Division of the Office of the Attorney General from 2016 to 2017. She has also held various significant roles, including Co-Chair of the Public Awareness Committee of the Maryland Human Trafficking Task Force since 2016 and Chair of the State Commission on Criminal Sentencing Policy since 2024. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1975, Judge Middleton earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Morgan State University in 1998 and her Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School in 2001. She has been admitted to the Maryland Bar since 2003 and has been a member of various bar associations, including the Maryland State Bar Association and the Baltimore City Bar Association.

Judge Middleton has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as Circuit Representative for the 8th Judicial Circuit in the Conference of Circuit Judges since 2022.
