Hon. Charles M. Blomquist

Hon. Charles M. Blomquist has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Baltimore City Circuit Court, 8th Judicial Circuit, since January 14, 2022. He is also the Judge-in-Charge of the Juvenile Division at the Baltimore City Circuit Court. Prior to his judicial appointment, Judge Blomquist had a distinguished legal career, including roles as Deputy State Prosecutor (2020-2022), Assistant State’s Attorney in Baltimore City (2001-2020), and law clerk to Judge John C. Byrnes. His extensive experience in the legal field has equipped him with a deep understanding of the law and a commitment to justice.

Judge Blomquist holds a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies and History from Grinnell College, a Master of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He has also completed a Master of Arts in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. His diverse educational background and extensive legal experience make him a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary.
