Hon. Carol Ann Coderre, Esq. has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Prince George’s County Circuit Court, 7th Judicial Circuit, since October 8, 2021. She was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, on October 23, 1971. Judge Coderre earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Goucher College in 1993 and her Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 1996. She was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1996 and to the U.S. District Court, District of Maryland, in 2019. Before her judicial appointment, she served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Prince George’s County from 1998 to 2016, holding various leadership roles including acting chief of the homicide unit, chief of the major crimes unit, chief of the violent crimes unit, and domestic violence prosecutor. She also served as Deputy State’s Attorney from 2016 to 2018 and Senior Associate County Attorney in the Office of Law from 2018 to 2021.Judge Coderre has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Prince George’s County Bar Association from 2021 to present, and as a Member of the Prince George’s County Chapter, Women’s Bar Association of Maryland. She has also volunteered with Catholic Charities, SHARE Food Network, and the Prince George’s County Unit, Maryland Medical Reserve Corps. Her extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make her a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary
