Hon. Alex M. Allman, Esq. has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Harford County Circuit Court, 3rd Judicial Circuit, since January 12, 2023. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice Sociology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 1997 and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2000. He was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 2000, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland in 2001, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in 2006. Before his judicial appointment, he served as an attorney at Fedder & Garten, P.A., and Offit Kurman, P.A., and as a law clerk to Judge William B. Spellbring, Jr., of the Prince George’s County Circuit Court.
Judge Allman has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Public Library, Harford County, from 2015 to 2021, and as a Member of the Mediation Commission, Harford County, since 2021. He has also been a Professor of Legal Research and Writing at the University of Baltimore School of Law and a Coach for the Fallston Recreation Council soccer and baseball teams. His extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make him a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary. Judge Allman’s commitment to justice and his diverse legal background highlight him as a distinguished member of the Harford County Circuit Court.
