Hon. Judy L. Woodall, Esq. has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Prince George’s County Circuit Court, 7th Judicial Circuit, since January 3, 2018. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1956. Judge Woodall earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Fordham University in 1978 and her Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law in 1986. Before her judicial appointment, she held various roles, including Legislative and Administrative Assistant to the State’s Attorney for Prince George’s County from 1987 to 1988, and Assistant State’s Attorney from 1989 to 1995, where she served as Chief of the Narcotics Division from 1993 to 1995. She also served as a Domestic Relations Master (Family Magistrate) for the Circuit Court of Prince George’s County from 2002 to 2018.
Judge Woodall has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as a Member of the Domestic Law Committee of the Judicial Council from 2019 to 2022, and the Board of Directors of the Reid Temple Restoration Center in Glenn Dale, Maryland, from 2012 to 2015. She has also been a Member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Prince George’s County Bar Association, the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association of Maryland, Prince George’s County Chapter. Her extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make her a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary.
