Hon. William A. Snoddy, Esq. has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Prince George’s County Circuit Court, 7th Judicial Circuit, since December 13, 2016. He was born in Washington, DC, on June 24, 1965. Judge Snoddy earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Howard University in 1987 and his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1995. Before his judicial appointment, he worked as an Associate County Attorney in Prince George’s County and Montgomery County, and as Deputy County Attorney for Prince George’s County. He also served as Staff Attorney for the Legal Aid Bureau, Inc., in Prince George’s County.
Judge Snoddy has been actively involved in various legal and community organizations, including serving as President of the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association and Member of the Maryland State Bar Association. He has received several honors and awards, such as the Legal Excellence Award from the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association and the County Attorney’s Award from the Prince George’s County Office of Law. His extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make him a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary.
