Hon. Lawrence V. Hill, Jr., Esq. has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Prince George’s County Circuit Court, 7th Judicial Circuit, since March 24, 2014. He also serves as the Presiding Judge of the Re-entry Court and the Juvenile Coordinating Judge since 2017. Judge Hill earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Hampton University in 1988 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1992. Before his judicial appointment, he worked as a law clerk for the Juvenile Unit of the Office of Public Defender in Prince George’s County from 1992 to 1993. He also served as an Associate Judge on the District Court of Maryland, District 5, from August 28, 2008, to March 23, 2014.

Judge Hill has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as a Member of the Problem-Solving Courts Committee of the Maryland Judicial Conference from 2012 to 2014. He has also been a Member of the Court Interpreters Committee from 2008 to 2011 and the Cheltenham Youth Facility Advisory Board since 2008. His extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make him a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary.
