Hon. Ada E. Clark-Edwards, Esq. has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Prince George’s County Circuit Court, 7th Judicial Circuit, since August 2024. She previously served as an Associate Judge on the District Court of Maryland, District 5, from August 10, 2016, to August 2024. Judge Clark-Edwards earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Towson State University in 1995 and her Juris Doctor from the Columbus School of Law, Catholic University of America, in 1999. She was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 2000. Before her judicial appointments, she worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Prince George’s County from 2000 to 2003 and 2007 to 2016, and as the Chief of the Domestic Violence Unit and Family Violence and Special Victims Unit from 2011 to 2016. She also served as a Program Manager for the Office on Violence Against Women at the U.S. Department of Justice in 2010-2011.
Judge Clark-Edwards has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as the Chair of the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council in Prince George’s County from 2021 to 2024 and as a Member of the Domestic Law Committee of the Judicial Council since 2023. She has also been a Member of the Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team and the Family Justice Center Task Force in Prince George’s County. Her extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make her a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary.
