Hon. Catherine Huger McQueen was appointed as an Associate Judge on the Montgomery County Circuit Court, 6th Judicial Circuit, by Governor Wes Moore. She has practiced law for over 22 years and is currently a principal attorney in the family law practice group at Offit Kurman. Judge McQueen has extensive experience in guardianship and conservatorship cases, serving both children and adults. She also handles disputes among family members regarding capacity and fiduciary issues related to powers of attorney, trusts, and estates1.
Before joining Offit Kurman, she was an attorney at Selzer, Gurvitch, Rabin & Obecny LLC, a Bethesda-based firm, where she practiced civil litigation, family law, and construction litigation. Judge McQueen holds a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Clemson University and a J.D. from George Washington University Law School.
