Hon. J. Bradford McCullough, Esq. has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Montgomery County Circuit Court, 6th Judicial Circuit, since December 9, 2022. He was born in Hagerstown, Maryland, on December 31, 1958. Judge McCullough earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, cum laude, from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) in 1980, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1983. He was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1983. He served as a law clerk to Associate Judge Theodore G. Bloom of the Court of Special Appeals from 1983 to 1984. He then worked as an associate at Beckett, Cromwell & Myers, P.A., from 1984 to 1988, and later as an associate at Frank, Bernstein, Conaway & Goldman from 1988 to 1990. He became a partner at Lerch, Early & Brewer, Chtd., in 2000, where he practiced until his judicial appointment.
Judge McCullough has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as a Member of the American Bar Association since 1984 and the Maryland State Bar Association since 1984. He has held various leadership positions, such as co-chair of the Dispositive Motions Subcommittee of the Pretrial Practice & Discovery Committee of the Litigation Section from 2009 to 2011, and co-chair of the Appellate Practice Committee of the Litigation Section from 2018 to 2022. He has also been involved with the Montgomery County Bar Association, serving on the Federal Practice Section and the Commercial Litigation Section. His extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make him a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary.
