Hon. Kathleen M. Dumais, Esq

Hon. Kathleen M. Dumais, Esq. has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Montgomery County Circuit Court, 6th Judicial Circuit, since December 2, 2021. Prior to her judicial appointment, she had a long and distinguished career in the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 15 (Montgomery County) from January 8, 2003, to November 5, 2021. During her tenure as a state delegate, she held several leadership positions, including Vice-Chair of the Economic Matters Committee and Chair of the Property & Casualty Insurance Subcommittee. She was also Co-Chair of the Joint Committee on Legislative Ethics and Chair of the Consent Calendars Committee.

Judge Dumais has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as Co-Chair of the Work Group to Study Judicial Selection (2022-24) and as a Member of the Domestic Law Committee (2023-). Her extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make her a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary.
