Hon. Amy D. Lorenzini, Esq.

Hon. Amy D. Lorenzini, Esq. has been serving as an Associate Judge on the St. Mary’s County Circuit Court, 7th Judicial Circuit, since June 10, 2022. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Before her judicial appointment, she worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney in St. Mary’s County from 2013 to 2015, focusing on the child support enforcement unit. She also served as Managing Partner at Cumberland & Erly from 2015 to 2022.

Judge Lorenzini has been actively involved in various legal and community organizations, including serving as a Member of the Supreme Court of Maryland Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Service since 2022. She has also been a Member of the Education Committee and the Equal Justice Committee of the Judicial Council since 2023. Her dedication to public service and legal excellence has earned her several honors and awards, such as being named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women by the Daily Record in 2023 and receiving the Maryland Pro Bono Service Award from the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland in 2024.
