Hon. Paul W. Ishak, Esq.

Hon. Paul W. Ishak, Esq. has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Harford County Circuit Court, 3rd Judicial Circuit, since January 4, 2017. Born in Valhalla, New York, in 1963, Judge Ishak earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1985, and his Juris Doctor from the Rutgers University School of Law in 1988. He was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1988, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland in 1989, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in 2012. Before his judicial appointment, he served as the City Attorney for Havre de Grace, Maryland, and as a Partner at Stark & Keenan, P.A..

Judge Ishak has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as the Chair of the Redistricting Commission for the Harford County Council, the Chairman of the Charter Review Task Force for the City of Havre de Grace, and a Member of the Knights of Columbus in Havre de Grace. He has also been a Volunteer Firefighter and Emergency Medical Responder with the Susquehanna Hose Company since 2002, and has received multiple awards for his volunteer service. His extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make him a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary.
