Hon. Yolanda L. Curtin has been serving as the Circuit Administrative Judge for the Harford County Circuit Court, 3rd Judicial Circuit, since June 19, 2023. She previously served as the County Administrative Judge from March 23, 2022, to June 19, 2023, and as an Associate Judge from November 15, 2013, to March 23, 2022. Born in Havana, Cuba, Judge Curtin earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and English from Rutgers University in 1989 and her Juris Doctor from the Rutgers University School of Law in 1992. She also holds a Master of Laws in Securities Regulation from Georgetown University Law Center in 1993. Before her judicial career, she served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Harford County and as an Administrative Law Judge for the Office of Administrative Hearings.
Judge Curtin has been actively involved in several legal and community organizations, including serving as a Member of the Court Access and Community Relations Committee, the Court Technology Committee, and the Equal Justice Committee of the Judicial Council. She has also been a Volunteer Lawyer for Pro Bono Assignments with the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service and a Member of the Harford County Bar Association. Her extensive legal experience and dedication to public service make her a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary. Judge Curtin’s commitment to justice and her diverse legal background highlight her as a distinguished member of the Harford County Circuit Court.
