Hon. Piper Faith McKeithen has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Baltimore City Circuit Court, 8th Judicial Circuit, since January 9, 2024. Before her judicial appointment, she was the Assistant Chief Counsel in the Baltimore Office of the Principal Legal Advisor with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement1. In this role, she represented U.S. immigration and customs enforcement in removal proceedings before hearing officers of the Baltimore Immigration Court, Hyattsville Immigration Court, and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Judge McKeithen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Baltimore School of Law and her Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School. She has been admitted to the Maryland Bar since 1993 and has been a member of various bar associations, including the American Bar Association, the Baltimore City Bar Association, and the Maryland State Bar Association.Judge McKeithen has also contributed to the legal community as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Baltimore School of Law. Her extensive experience in family law, juvenile causes, and immigration law makes her a respected and influential figure in the Maryland judiciary. Judge McKeithen’s dedication to justice and her diverse legal background highlight her as a distinguished member of the Baltimore City Circuit Court.
