Hon. Jeffrey M. Geller has been serving as an Associate Judge on the Baltimore City Circuit Court, 8th Judicial Circuit, since May 18, 2012. He has held various significant roles, including Alternative Dispute Resolution Judge from 2019 to 2021, Designated Judge for the Business and Technology Case-Management Program since 2020, and Chair of the New Judge Orientation Committee since 2020. Judge Geller has also been actively involved in the Judicial Education Committee since 2022 and the Business and Technology Work Group since 2021. Prior to his judicial appointment, he worked as an Assistant Public Defender in Baltimore City, serving in various divisions from 1998 to 2002. Born in Livingston, New Jersey, in 1971, Judge Geller earned his Bachelor’s degree in History from Franklin and Marshall College in 1994 and his Juris Doctor from the Washington College of Law, American University in 1997.
Judge Geller has been admitted to multiple bars, including the Maryland Bar, U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First, Third, and Eleventh Circuits. He has also been a member of several bar associations, such as the Maryland State Bar Association and the Baltimore City Bar Association. Throughout his career, Judge Geller has contributed to the legal community as an instructor and course coordinator at the Judicial College of Maryland. His dedication to the judiciary and his extensive legal experience make him a respected and influential figure in Maryland’s legal system.
